Za Zen, the meditation app I'm designing

It's burnout. I'm sorry, but I can't handle this tempo anymore.

This is what I said to myself a few weeks ago, and I pushed harder than ever, but on a break. It's a confession of sorts, a true state of my feelings toward writing because I do that professionally, creatively, and as a hobby. And I didn't stop, ever, for at least 20 years. I am drained, and I need to repair the damage by changing my ways.

For the last few weeks, I've paused some of the projects I'm working on; I am concentrating on two new big ones: one that is still under wraps and finishing my book. The third, obviously, is a day job.

I wanted to find a new hobby, something to challenge me differently, so I started working on an Android app, Za Zen, a minimal meditation timer that needs to solve all the problems that I have with Insight Timer, the first app that I used back when I started meditating.

Designing this app will meet my needs, but I am also willing to give it away to everyone, free of charge. This is a learning process, and I won't lie, with AI help. If this makes you barf, I'm sorry, but I'll stay tech-curious and learn by doing.

If you're willing to try my app, please write to my e-mail or to zazenappATprotonDOTme and send me your e-mail so I can add you to the tester list.

You can also follow a dev diary of sorts that I will update from time to time, just to chronicle this great adventure.

This is a passion project, and I'd be glad to have you on board.

Sharing this would be cool, too. Once again, thank you.
